What a stupid, racist and counterproductive proposal.
then come back with your comments...look at things from all sides.
If the nine best candidates happened to all be black women, I'd be all for it. Same goes if they happen to be white men.
Maybe if you provided more context, I could add additional thoughts.
announcing that he would nominate a Black Woman to the bench...they do not appreciate the societal value of having a Supreme Court that 'looks like the country'...they won't even stop to evaluate Judge Jackson's exceptional qualifications....so, in order to create a comparable level of "frustration" in them, as other groups in this country have felt for many, many years. I proposed a hypothetical situation whereby they would see none of their own race or gender on the SCOTUS...asking how they would feel about it...hoping that they would somehow appreciate the joy that Judge Jackson's nomination has created (see Sen. Corey Booker's "Questioning" video)...I didn't expect many to "get it", but a couple I would have expected, did...
btw, It's very good to see your response to even such a hypothetical situation...outstanding qualifications are preeminent in your thinking...I'd only add that IMO there is a human/societal aspect that is almost as important...always...which means that I would be among the first in line to question the wisdom of a SCOTUS with only black, female jurists.
I don't have it on the racial front but maybe in other areas so...
I support Jackson, I think it's unfortunate she was nominated the way she was as I think she'd be a great candidate regardless of skin color or gender. I don't support the Republican attacks on her, I think they are frivolous at best. But it's worth noting the "looks like the country" arguments are likely more damaging. You're better than this, at least I hope you are.
But, our Republic is in dire straits, Biden and Trump are/were bad for our prospects of maintaining this grand experiment. A Jackson confirmation is one on the good side of the scales, IMO.

Getting more honest justices to take away the corrupt Republican advantages their scumbag appointees have shown.

and as of 1869 this country is just a little more communist than it was when it only had 5 Justices? Is that how it works?
Then if there were to be only 1 SCOTUS we would the be the least communist ever? You know, 1 making all the rulings?
conservative.
But let’s get past that.
I think that poster is just being contrary on purpose thinking he’s being sarcastic.

with 9 Black Female Justices, all as qualified as Judge Jackson?

If black female is the most important attribute, why weren't black female conservative nominees on the list? Your side don't give a rip about race or gender. It's all about agendas.
complex and somewhat esoteric response to such a simplistic "gotcha" question...very astute on her part.
btw, there are many other scholarly articles available on the web, If you want to educate yourself on that topic...while the numbers of affected individuals are not high, the need for understanding is real...try to be more understanding, through reading...and a little empathy...surely, you have some of that...

Tyrone’s post isn’t to advocate for a bench of nine black females.
His point is that 9 white men was deemed perfectly normal for decades. But, times have changed. We have evolved.
Seating the first black female is long overdue.
who continue to make this about race.
Evidently, several white GOP Senators have a problem seating an unquestionably super qualified jurist, who is black. The tone and anger in their questions tells the tale.
And please don’t pretend their opposition is about protecting children.
