The lack of our society's ability to let a comedian be a comedian created the Will Smith/Chris Rock

ordeal. It was comedy. Everybody laughed... even Will Smith, until he turned and looked at his wife and found out he shouldn't have been laughing and needed to do something. Our country needs to pump the breaks on the ridiculousness and just let people cut jokes about all of our "protected feelings". Cancel culture has indeed now shown its own unintended consequences.

Carlen, Williams, Dangerfield, Kinison, Louie Anderson, Dice Clay... imagine how these guys would be reacted to today.

Will Smith crossed a line, all by himself. He alone is responsible.

Will Smith has issues...exacerbated by his wife's dopey red table talk show admissions...

My favorite comedian is Brian Regan and he does it w/o any personal attacks or swear words.

Brian happens to be Jerry Seinfeld's favorite comedian also. I saw Brian at a sold out show at Four Winds Michigan pre-covid and not only was he extremely funny, but he was the butt of his jokes. Chris Rock and Will Smith could have spent the next hour beating the hell out of each other and I wouldn't give a damn. Same goes for everyone in that hall that night.

It's more the idiots in the audience, remember the celebrity roasts? Those people could handle it.
