I think Trump hurt his cause in typical fashion, but he’s always right about this stuff, and it was previously reported elsewhere. Biden has not denied it that I am aware of, which would be the common sense thing to do.
I also asked about your opinion on his cancelling the sanctions on Nord Stream 2 immediately upon taking office, and you didn’t respond. In my opinion, the decision was inexplicable until I heard about the oligarch payments, and Trump would certainly be in a position to know about that type of a deal to undo his sanctions.
Depends - was he getting money? Was he trading favors?
If so, it would be a scandal, and he would deserve punishment. Not complicated.
As to Nordstream 2: we had limited influence over it. It’s a German decision, mostly. It also was not yet operational.
