The criticisms are all very diplomatically "focused" in this being our first FBS game ever.
Of course we have played our share of more "respectable" D1 cupcakes over the years.
I personally feel this is fabulous marketing move and will generate national interest for our school in a whole new demographic.
Times change and those who don't fall behind.
I'm actually geeked about the game.
I hope this does nor ruin my reputation as a curmudgeon.

It’s all about the FCS aspect. Just my opinion.
I am disappointed that we have scheduled an FCS opponent.
But, others do it.

And I think it's a worthwhile exception.
Seems like there is room for reasonable disagreement. Hope it stays reasonable.

So, yeah.
The Tennessee St game is not going to affect ND’s chances for a title…esp since all its rivals will play D-1AA foes too.

Brilliant.
The schedule misleads people into thinking maybe the team is better than they really are. This won't help. But playing a murderers row doesn't help either. I don't know the answer.

I'm "nervous" about winning national titles. Turning in favors for former OSU players who are now coaching does nothing to help that goal. That win will account for nothing. Playing any FCS program will account for nothing. Save the social messaging for the ladies basketball program if that's what this is.
