BLM-miscreant protest today outside a Grand Rapids arena today for a Kid Rock concert. The resistance is routine, as are the spectators who refuse to help the officer. Thousands of videos like this one online if you go looking.

Don’t bother pursuing people fleeing on foot because the pursuit is more dangerous to you either in fact or from a career perspective. Plus you have the individual’s vehicle, drugs, etc.

It is a terrible message to send that its ok to resist arrest.
Still, he was resisting, but he wasnt being aggressive toward the cop - it seemed to all just be defensive resistance.
Its all so sad.
But that's not the whole of the confrontation. There's also the cop's camera too that gets shut down some way through the fight.
The decisions at the beginning of the stop are what lead to the end.
The cop quite literally placed the muzzle directly on the back of his head and he pulled the trigger. That's an execution.
This is not to say the cop wasn't in a precarious spot, but his poor decisions got him to that point. And then
putting the gun on his head - a beat - pull the trigger, just doesn't fly.
being the main defense - esp since they can prove that he was now armed.
But despite that, I never saw the guy make any aggressive moves toward the cop...just defensive ones. It was almost as if he didn't understand what was going on to the point that I wonder if he has special needs.
The body cam went off in the struggle - I think legitimately.
But regardless, there is not a justification that I would buy for shooting the man from what I saw at the end of the footage. The cop shot him when he didn't need to do so. I don't see the racial tie in that you do since the plates didn't match the car and the cops ride around all day doing that check on car after car.
But the man should not have been shot, and this cop was wrong.
The video footage will unfortunately show both sides what they want to see.
Never resist arrest unless it is over an issue worth dying for. If the cop senses you are winning, he will escalate, and you will lose.
Not saying it is right. And, I would be on the side of police reform to an extent. But, all of these shootings would not happen but for resistance over a non-life-or-death level dispute.
Maybe a language issue.
In what I see, other than going after the taser it appears he just wanted to run away.
In all, this should never have culminated in a killing.
But then again, you can't fix stupid. Oh wait, this cop just did.
could have been a better choice made. Remember, this was just a traffic stop.
And this is not to say the dead man was right to reach for the taser.
It’s very odd to see people cheer for the deaths of others when so little is at stake.
put yourself in this situation. All of this could have been avoided with a little common sense. So what you are saying is that traffic stops pose no risks for cops? It's ok to blame the idiot here who wasn't listening.
Thank god it was just his taser he grabbed. Obviously, the cop feared it was escalating and the show of force was necessary. Of course you jumped to the side of the guy not paying attention to the cop. You seem to have little to no respect for cops so I'm not surprised. They are and always will be at fault in your eyes.

disgusting on your part if you ask me. Answer this question - would the guy still be alive if he would have just listened? I know you won't because you don't do direct questions. You'll either ignore it or point it back at the cop as it being his fault.
of not heeding the cop's directive but this is only a traffic stop for a traffic violation.
The cop making bad choices isn't saying the driver made good choices, but the cop is in control of the situation
and he has the hardware, the authority and gets to decide on the direction of the confrontation - this didn't need to be an execution
and that's exactly what it was. He ended this man's life on poor judgement - by both. He took his gun out of its holster, put it to the
back of the man's head (literally on his head) and pulled the trigger to end his life.
What's also abhorrent is the loud cheering for his death.
Questioning a cop's judgement doesn't in any way mean I side with a "criminal" or a suspect - It means I question the cop's
judgement and in this case, he should be challenged for it.
Your constant use of a strawman is deplorable.
situations like this are like. Maybe he should have shot him in the leg like Joe said. Again, if he had listened to the cop, sat down and not resisted, he would be here today. Pointing this common sense decision out is not cheering anything. I guess someone didn't have "the talk" with this guy.

nitwits still in the street holding the banner who looked like they were not sure what to do next.
are? They are the ones who made fools of themselves and it is obvious. Tremendous restraint shown by police.
