Trump/Trade Deficit vs. Biden/Inflation a look closer
Remember when Trump campaigned on "making deals" and that he would have China eating out of his hands? Well due to Trump's direct action the US saw the worst trade deficit since 2008. This was not a correlation issue but a causation.
Under the Biden administration inflation is the worst it's been in 40 years. But a closer look would say that 3 covid relief bills (2 under Trump = $3.8T, 1 under Biden = $1.9T) was a big factor. An argument can be made that these relief bills were needed and helped struggling Americans. However these bills along didn't cause inflation and they weren't passed to purposely cause inflation unlike say the trade war with China.
Inflation is killing Biden politically although most Americans know there is no direct causation. Americans are a what have you done for me lately, but make no mistake Trump mucked up the one thing he said he was good at!
