the appeal. Explain how the district comes to the conclusion he is violating the establishment clause when he is neither forcing or even asking the athletes to participate. What would the district do if the athletes initiated the prayer time and the coach just joined in? How would that scenario impact the decision?

The original intent of the establishment clause was so government did not officially establish a religion that people were compelled to follow or face consequences. We have strayed so far away from that principle that it's become a joke what is considered "establishing" a religion.
They typically like a clean set of facts.
