As a consumer, how much do politics affect your buying decisions?

I don't use Twitter as it seems more addictive than heroin or reefer, but for those that partake and have a negative opinion of Elon, does this affect your usage of the platform?

Does the fact that Mike Lindell is a moron affect your decision on pillow purchases? (I love my pillow, the product, I have bought at least 10 of em)

Does the corporate wading into social issues phenomenon, such as Disney, affect your likelihood (either positively or negatively) of purchasing thier product/service/experience?

pillows I've purchased from but I'm sure that when I need another pillow it won't be from Lindell's company.

I don't buy Nike products but that's because when I have purchased their product in the past and they have always been
inferior goods.

Outside of that, I don't eat at Shake Shack and it's a political decision - I don't and won't dine at any of Danny Meyers businesses.

complaints about his groups policies on paying a living wage to the employees.
Using front of house gratuities to pay kitchen staff and maintenance staff and so on.

I used to frequent hospitality group restaurants but too many bad vibes from the staff
on working at his places. Decided the staff is telling a story of not a good place to work
and there are too many really good restaurants to go to, I just stopped going to his.
It's a conscious decision.

I'm not saying you need to follow my footsteps nor am I advocating others to boycott his places. I posted to share my
on what political change I made with regard to a business.

And I still won't purchase a Lindell pillow.

My kids grew up going to Disney since we were so close. Over the years, we have gotten away from anything Disney related long before this latest bullshit. Prices drove us away before their woke agenda. Like others, would prefer to buy local or American made but it's not always easy.

I drink Coke Zero at work, because that is what our vendor sells. But, my personal purchases are Pepsi and Dr. Pepper. My kids give me trouble, because I order "diet cola" at the drive through, because I forget which restaurants sell which products, and don't want to do the "We only have Diet Coke, is that ok" dance. I don't give a damn. Just give me some non-sugary cola-flavored drink.

I haven't given Ben & Jerry's a look in years. Fuck them.

There are several local businesses that we won't patronize due to their support of certain issues. I go out of my way to inform like-minded people of the businesses also.

After being a life-long Adidas customer, I think I'm quitting them. Just need to research a replacement. I just don't want to contribute to anyone who supports issues I find especially egregious.

Never been on Twitter.

My understanding is that they have (or will have) an entire campaign supporting Trans athletes. I did say "might quit" because I'm still looking into the details.
