The hardest part of the Our Father for the
prideful to follow: “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”.
Not man’s will, but God’s Will
It doesn’t matter if you don’t like it because it is inconvenient, or whether it doesn’t make sense to you as a tiny childlike mind.
It is literally like a child throwing a temper tantrum toward God to claim that a popularity poll of what man wants can trump what God has clearly stated in the Bible multiple times, in grace inspired Church doctrine, in the Ten Commandments, and in Jesus’ own words.
A poll of Catholics can be falsely generated or true, but it doesn’t matter in the slightest to practicing Catholics when determining morality.
And that aside, if such polls are true, then when Roe is overturned, the decision would go back to the voter reps of each state to decide….and if abortion is so popular among even catholics, then the laws will become even more pro abortion than now.
So if these polls are true, what is the Left worried about?
You support all that too, I’m sure.
You know the mind of God, though

You proabably haven't considered how deeply "normalized" the taking of unborn life has become to you, but regardless, the changes discussed are based on the Constitution and the 10th Amendment, not simply upon religious resaons.

What a country we live in... one half seems like Fellini's Satyricon and the other like Hawthorn's Scarlet Letter.
The red-blue gap is going to be a chasm.
It was an awful ruling for fans of the United States.
"The draft opinion also rejects the idea that the right to an abortion is an “integral part of a broader, entrenched right.” Alito distinguishes the long line of cases recognizing the rights to interracial marriage; to obtaining contraceptives; to engaging in private, consensual sexual acts; and to same-sex marriage by noting that abortion “destroys” what Roe and Casey call “potential life” and what the Mississippi law at issue in the current case “regards as the life of ‘an unborn human being.’”
It’s the impact on the unborn child that sets apart Dobbs, the case on which Alito wrote his draft opinion, from, say, Obergefell v. Hodges, the Court’s ruling on same-sex unions. Gay marriage involves consenting adults. No unborn child consents to his or her own destruction."

But you are correct that Alito is opening a door that will widen the chasm between widely disparate groups in this country.
My personal view is that it is healthier to have open discussions about these conflicts rather than allow one side or the other to dominate and censor by force.

We humans evolved as higher primates for many millions of years.
We got to this point by heterosexual reproduction.
This is the sine qua non for progressive evolution.
If I were a believer I would claim that God laid down the rules of evolution so that consciousness would emerge in the world (see Teilhard de Chardin).
Regardless, ANY thwarting of the natural reproductive process is a regression, ie., devolution.
No other animal consciously aborts.
It's a perversion of our nature... like a few others that are now so public.
The issue we refuse to face is why some humans do these things?
It's not really a conscious decision to avoid the responsibility of parenting, however, it's a spontaneous reaction to an adverse health issue during pregnancy.
