Over 2.6 million Michiganders voted for four more years of Trump. Hence, lots of folks have horrific judgment, many of whom deem it “patriotic” to obstruct and disobey public health measures, and/or refuse to get vaccinated.

The virus laughs at such morons, while the virus continues to spread and spread and spread.

Option 1: you know that Biden didn’t actually win legitimately in Michigan

Option 2: you’re wrong.
In fact, a look at her worst outbreak states reveals that they are mostly blue.

As for refusing vaccination, MI is well ahead of nearby blue Illinois and Wisconsin, yet we have many more cases.
In addition, the single biggest group that is refusing vaccination in the state is the African American Dem voters who do not trust the government - including your liberal government.

As a proud conservative who values logic, I am fully vaccinated - 6 weeks out from 2 shot Moderna regimen.
You see, that makes sense. There is science to support it. And we are rule followers by nature.
The Whitmer shut down edicts however, no science behind it, no logic. Ineffective. Boom.

The entire nation is replete with careless and foolhardy folks. Our infection rate as a nation remains too high. Michigan’s is worse.

And it does not appear we will reach herd immunity with too many folks unwilling to get vaccinated.

I already told you that Whitmer instituted a program of chart review to cull charts retrospectively for COVID, and then these numbers are added in. It doesn’t take many to skew numbers.

Interestingly, with the numbers suddenly having an unexpectedly bad impact on her image, Whitmer changed guidelines this week in the supposedly highest outbreak state in the country. She banned further voluntary COVID testing. You must now have symptoms to be tested.
This will, of course, decrease the numbers fairly quickly.

She is a fake. And she traveled to FLA before she got a vaccine (just like me, though I wasn’t blocking anyone else like she was, and I am now fully vaccinated).

After long encouraging voluntary testing, Gretch suddenly takes a different tack and prevents such voluntary testing in supposedly the highest outbreak area in the country where one would think such open testing would be more helpful to detect and isolate new cases.
But with no more voluntary testing, the asymptomatic case numbers will drop, and Whitmer’s numbers will improve.

This UM Medical center guideline is from yesterday. (Look under the “For Patients” section down below on who can get tested).

Gretch has shifted because the outbreak which used to help solidify her dictatorial powers is now hurting her image publicly.

We are the same as other states, and I expect our numbers to normalize over next few weeks as she stops the practices that were inflating the numbers.

Yesterday, obsessively giddy that a troubled knife wielding teenager was shot to death by a police officer, Baron challenged why the media would even question the use of deadly force.

I queried whether the Capitol Police would have been justified to shoot and kill scores of “terrorists” forcibly storming the US Capitol on January 6th?

Baron avoided the challenge, asking my thoughts about the Columbus OH police officer’s actions. I replied that it would be deemed a justified use of deadly force as the teenager was wielding a knife per the reporting (as I had not seen the video). I again challenged Baron to apply his standards and “expertise” on deadly force to January 6th.

But, when I posted my reply, Baron had already completely edited his original response to my initial query, now rambling on about the US flag being carried by rioters, followed by his theory that the January 6th perpetrators were actually Antifa members.

Baron unravels rather easily, especially when confronted by logic or facts. I imagine that is how Q survives amongst the disjointed segments of our population.

Never once has Baron acknowledged the tragic loss of life, or questioned what factors led to the child’s mental downfall.

The facts concerning the shooting in Columbus have not yet been fully revealed. We should all reserve judgement.

We originally thought that the highly effective Pfizer and Moderna vaccines would only need about 70-80% of the population to get fully vaccinated in order to reach 'herd immunity'...now with the B.1.1.7 variant surging, we might need closer to 90%, especially if folks like Tampa refuse even 'vaccine passports'.

Closer to home for you, the attached link from Johns Hopkins shows Michigan to be inching up on COVID-19 Hospitalizations...that's not what I would term a "What Me Worry" scenario.

I know you want to take this into more scolding of those who don't get vaccinated, but go back to the original question. The Great Fauci explained that we must continue to wear masks, even after we've been vaccinated, because we can't say for sure that we can't be reinfected at some point. Does that strike you as clear thinking? This is the sort of stuff that gives rise to all sorts of conspiratorial thinking. About a month ago, when the last people, aside from the teacher's unions, had to acknowledge that schools should reopen, Wolensky and the Great Fauci announced that while the science indeed indicates this, we must also take into account...wait for it...wait for it...the "lived experiences" of people, which meant that irrational and hysterical people should still have their judgments heavily weighted in this equation, to the point that their irrationality and hysteria can overrule the science.

Doesn't it make perfect sense to defer to experts like these?

statements from Drs. Fauci and Walensky sound 'random' and confusing to the public, but that is because the disease is just that...it (as all virus do, to varying extents) mutates constantly into variants that have never been seen before...as the ID community knows too well, there is a distinct possibility that one of them could lead to an ever more deadly version with consequences for 'All' human beings and not just those over age 60. The career those Docs chose has one objective...provide services that extend lives and the quality of those lives...that's what they focus on every single day.

The reason for continued mask wearing is becaushte what Dr. Fauci said is true...we don't yet know for sure if already vaccinated people can or cannot become 're-infected'...sorry, but it is what it is. BTW, our family ICU Doc is part of a CDC program that is monitoring health care workers who have been fully vaccinated in order to help answer that very question. He gets a nasal swab for COVID-19 every day...answers a questionnaire on-line regarding his temperature and condition...and he'll be doing this for around two more years. The medical community has seen it all (Measles, Chicken Pox, Smallpox, Ebola, HIV, etc.)...they know what they're doing, so if Drs Fauci and Walensky say something, act like one of Conor's 'grunts' and say "Sir, Yes Sir"!...unless you've got someone else with more knowledge about infectious diseases.

Regarding the "lived experience" comment, I personally haven't seen or heard it...not saying it didn't happen...so I can't respond without the context. If you can point it out, I'll definitely give my 2 cents.
