We need 534 more members in Congress who are like this Texas congressman. But I don't think it will happen in my life time.

If you'd asked our military if it would be worth it to eliminate the Russian threat for at least a decade without shedding a drop of US blood... they would have done cartwheels.
By contrast, if Russia had been allowed to take Ukraine Putin would be on the doorstep of Nato...and we would have had to increase our defense budget exponentially,
Of course, if you are a big fan of Putin and his repressive autocratic form of governing, this spending is a waste.
However, the "Putin is a genius" statement looks more ludicrous every single day.

Americans spend $250 billion per year on alcohol.
Americans spend $80 billion per year on cigarettes.
What will you fight for?
Helping a good friend defend its democracy against Putin is money well spent, particularly given Ukraine’s tenacity. [Contrast the years of wasted tax dollars in Afghanistan — a money pit that President Biden had the political courage to end].
Thank God the United States took the lead, bringing NATO and Europe together to have Ukraine’s back. [Ukraine would have been completely abandoned if Trump was in office. Fact.]
Ukraine will be expensive. At least, Americans are not spilling bed. That day may still come.
At present, it appears the US support (financial, weapons/equipment, leadership) have made a substantial difference.

absolutely critical...if you've been paying attention to what's going on there...the rebirth of the "Know Nothing Party" (without the anti-Catholic faction)...sheesh.
It's a lost cause. I just checked the polling. A big majority want to shovel more money into Ukraine. The demagogues won on this one. Any opposition to becoming further entangled in this mess constitute Russkie sympathizing.
The geniuses in the White House evidently believe we can print their way to prosperity. Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Brazil and Germany have learned you can't.....
