Is this an issue with this board or is the price gouging a good thing?

set the price not the stations.
You really need to stop with the gotcha posts.
If you will notice, the post has a question mark on price gouging. It is meant for you to offer an opinion on whether or not
you think those industries are price gouging. Offer an opinion and save the gotcha's.
PS: I hope you and your family are safe from the fires. I pray for the rain you need.

Biden Admins Net Zero fossil fuel policies are a major contributor to the price of Oil because it caused US production to fall playing right into Putin's hand

Granted a lot of this stuff is years off, but it highlights the administration's hostility towards fossil fuels.

I simply asked you what in that EO you linked produces what we are seeing today at the gas pump. You replied with some belly aching.
And is this true for all commodities?
Does everyone gouge when given the right situation?
Do public service unions gouge because they have a monopoly?
My question is, do posters here think it’s okay for corps to create a supply issue or just blatantly jack up prices for greater profits in a moment of crisis and, or circumstantial inflation !?
I’m not sure how public unions (I assume you mean unions like transit and cops) or any unions can be price gougers. It also sounds like your indiscriminately tossing anything you see as fuel onto the campfire. Maybe there can be a separate thread discussing your dislike of unions at another time.
Your second ? I assume is a question on the high price of products like aspirin knowing the low cost of production. Is that price gouging? I think so, yes. It’s certainly suggests Americans have issues with judging value along with being susceptible to barrage advertising.
Any of the mechanisms you might be able to describe would be indications of negligence on the part of the business managers.
Let’s use a gold mine as an analogy since it might be easier for you to visualize. When the price of gold goes up, the profits of gold miners go up. Why is this? The cost of extraction of gold is relatively fixed. When the price that they can sell that gold increases, the miner makes more money. When the price goes down, the miner gradually makes less money until the price decreases to the fixed extraction cost and they then cease production. Can you understand this concept, Dim?
Are you arguing that the managers should not sell their oil at the market price? I can see why you are a playwright rather than a businessman.

He looks to me for approval and validation. Sometimes he disappoints me and I have to call him on it. I tell him the truth. He loves and hates me for it. Successful Christian white men drive him crazy.
