Oath Keepers, or heaven forbid, thinking of embedding agents within those groups?...I not only do, but pray that they have. What I'm having a hard time imagining is Senators and Congressmen/women wanting to expose such efforts with their questioning.
Looks to me like more than a few folks are getting very nervous about what the Jan. 6th hearings are exposing and desperately need to distract attention...and just like the seditious insurrection, use any means possible.

Its why Chris and Jim, and I guess you, are annoyed. No one really cares. Aside from the whopping 20M on Thursday night, this landed with a big fat thud. The committee members themselves are bickering over what their mandate is. Shambolic.
It's laughter. And disdain. Not fear you sense.
possibly has agents embedded in them...like they've successfully done with other groups before?
If so, would you want those efforts and agents exposed to the public?
If they have moved beyond their purvey to observe and report seditious behavior, and are now actively engaging in said behavior to the point where they are actively planning, coordinating, facilitating, encouraging, leading, participating in said seditious behavior.....then yeah, its a bit o f a bugaboo and needs looking into (I made a bit of a rapping rhyme there for Quest...yea....boy!)
Which, from what I understand, this Epps character is said to have engaged in. Which is why it won't be brought up on this hearing. Which is why everyone outside of a few folks thinks this isn't a legitimate endeavor to find the truth. Which is why you're pissing in the wind if you think anything will come of this.
I remember when Dems loathed the FBI and CIA. They were the root of all evil. The man. An instrument of whitey to oppress and harass the poor and helpless.
any chance the FBI could be legally (or as mentioned in the linked document section "OTHERWISE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY") involved with the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers?
I'm not sure if I asked you this, but I'll ask again...do you believe the 2020 election was fraudulent and stolen from Donald Trump?

"Operationally sound and effective, but more or less intrusive, considering factors such as privacy and civil liberties...the least intrusive method feasible to be used. FBI shall not hesitate to use any LAWFUL method...." Thank you for the link. It doesn't prove what you think it does. We have no idea what methods Mr Epps engaged in since he's been shielded from this hearing. He's never been deposed under oath. We have no idea what he may or may not testify to. BUt we sure as fuck have video of him. Remember....that was a big thing for you....YESTERDAY. A guy taking a photo of a stairwell was your Zapruder film.
I believe there are elements of 2020 election that deserve investigation that have heretofore not taken place. I stop short of saying that the election was stolen. It was, as was boasted about on Time Magazine ...secured.

of the street...but sometimes the real world requires exceptions...that's what this section of the AG's Guidelines addresses...
-----------------
C. OTHERWISE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
1. Otherwise illegal activity by an FBI agent or employee in an undercover operation relating to activity in violation of federal criminal law that does not concern a threat to the national security or foreign intelligence must be approved in conformity with the Attorney General's Guidelines on Federal Bureau of Investigation Undercover Operations. Approval of otherwise illegal activity in conformity with those guidelines is sufficient and satisfies any approval requirement that would otherwise apply under these Guidelines.
2. Otherwise illegal activity by a human source must be approved in conformity with the Attorney General's Guidelines Regarding the Use of FBI Confidential Human Sources.
3. Otherwise illegal activity by an FBI agent or employee that is not within the scope of paragraph 1. must be approved by a United States Attorney's Office or a Department of Justice Division, except that a Special Agent in Charge may authorize the following:
a. otherwise illegal activity that would not be a felony under federal, state, local, or tribal law;
b. consensual monitoring of communications, even if a crime under state, local, or tribal law;
c. the controlled purchase, receipt, delivery, or sale of drugs, stolen property, or other contraband;
d. the payment of bribes;
e. the making of false representations in concealment of personal identity or the true ownership of a proprietary; and
f. conducting a money laundering transaction or transactions involving an aggregate amount not exceeding $1 million.
--------------------
There's more, but I'll leave it to you and other readers to digest...
My point in all of this is that we obviously have seditious organizations actively trying to destroy our democracy and the FBI is a key player in seeing that doesn't happen...any questioning of their methods being used to investigate the Jan. 6th insurrection by Senators and Congressmen/women should be done in private so as not to compromise the investigation, or the safety of FBI agents.
btw, the fact that we now know Representatives, like Loudermilk were aiding and abetting rioters, it becomes even harder for the FBI to carry out its mission.
As for your response regarding the "Big Lie"...after all this time and evidence, you still equivocate...that is shameful and puts you squarely in the Trumpist Camp...really sorry to hear that.
It's not a blank check for the Feds to break the law.
you don't, and never will...therefore, just acknowledge that you are speculating...once again, with proper approval, the span of actions the FBI can take is very broad.
Back to Jan. 6th...Senator Cruz should not be trying to get the FBI to open their files to the public...he's on the Judiciary Committee...he should know this, but of course he's on record supporting the "Big Lie" and is therefore incentivized to stop any investigation into that seditious act...oh, and the DOJ has stated that they will follow evidence related to Jan. 6th wherever and 'whoever' it leads to (Sen. Cruz??).
I'm absolutely sure that these hearings are not making Ted Cruz laugh...unless he's lost contact with reality.
We have no idea what feds were there. Or what they were up to. No comment to senator Cruz was all we got. You of course will ascribe the noblest of actions. But it's clear from the videos he was most assuredly directing traffic.
alleged involvement...check out this NYT article....
In any event, Sen. Cruz should not be asking the FBI to expose any possible undercover activities to the public...do you agree on that score?...or would you prefer that tell all our enemies...foreign and domestic...exactly how we're tracking them?

That routinely casts anything Republican as white supremacist, conspiracy driven nonsense and the like. I am, at this time, disinclined to believe anything that the NYT has to report on the matter. Thank you.
The problem in this case and in the Whitmer one, is that there appears to be evidence that federal agents are the ones leading the illegal action(s).
This was confirmed in the Whitmer case. There's nothing to debate on that one. And now we have leadership in the F.B.I. who won't deny that a specific individual -- who directed others to enter the capital and tear down barricades and who has been named/identified -- is a federal agent.
So suddenly, it appears that Trump (who clearly said to make your voices heard peacefully) isn't the one who is responsible for idiots entering the capital.

them off the hook.
The federal agents kept dragging the "plan" along even when it was going nowhere. The informants colluded to produce the evidence the F.B.I. wanted.
No one was going to kidnap the governor. This was a harebrained idea worked up by idiots on our country's payroll and turned into a circus. There is no defending it.

Just trying to play to the stupids.
Remember: the biggest thing separating Trumpies from non-Trumpies is education.

AS I recall, you were the biggest poo-poo'er of the Hunter laptop story. You sure fucked that one up, amarite?
Just be honest. You don't REALLY want to explore all this stuff. Just that anything that proves Trump's guilt.

the insurrection at the Capitol on 1/6?
this guy as a witness on live TV? Let the people searching for the truth hear it for themselves. You would be all for that, right?
Only some videos are acceptable to partisans. The whole thing is a made for TV miniseries and people are rightfully disdainful of it.
Any retraction from yesterday's bombshell about being a paid escort? No of course not.

Don't you worry kiddo. You'll get better at this. You just gotta keep trying champ!
be called to testify?
Let them all testify if they can shed light on what really happened. I don't care if they all get prosecuted for anything that happened. I, unlike you Libbies, don't think highly of either side of the fence in Washington. I think they are all self-serving scumbags and have said that on many occasions.
Sure, sure - this is where the liberals race to argue and say that there's "no evidence" of this.....the fact that this woman can't simply deny federal involvement or disavow Epps answers that pretty clearly.
But please, let's continue to have this kangaroo court.

Granny Selfie Day at the Capitol? Surely, they would want to speak with this Ray Epps guy and find out what he knew and if he is actively working for the FBI? He testified, right?
