Added Handguns shooting straight wall .38+, I was fine with this.
Allow loaded uncased weapons in vehicles with a concealed carry permit, somewhat okay with this.
Added straight wall traditional rifle cartridges such as 45-70 govt and 44 mag, okay with this.
Added straight wall AR-type cartridges .45+, such as 450 bushmaster, hmmm, okay.
Adding .223 I am not okay with for the reasons mentioned. It'll be a warzone out there. Of course this is only for the January special season, but it's the proving zone for new regulations for the general seasons.
had any problems with that. Would never go out on opening day of deer season, I remember couple guys getting killed by shotgun slugs
Does Iowa have capacity limits on hunting rifles? I thought most states did. Can you use a magazine larger than 5 rounds in Iowa?
Allowing other calibers reduced the amount of people doing it and it was only .45+ straight wall (AKA, no 9MM and no necked cartridges). And .223 in a semi is going to cause a lot of injured/maimed deer. Not sporting and inhumane, IMO. Also, if a lot of people are out there doing this in flat areas there will be casualties.
