In fact, the whole family did.
1. Middle daughter (17, vaxed) was sick for a couple days before we tested her on Thursday morning and she was positive. Pretty miserable until Saturday when she said she felt all better.
2. Oldest daughter (19, vaxed and boosted) very sick on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before feeling all better on Sunday.
3. Wife (45, vaxed and boosted) very sick Thurs, Friday and Saturday. Felt a lot better on Sunday and all better today.
4. Youngest daughter (15 and vaxed) never had any symptoms and we didn't bother testing her.
5. Myself (54 and vaxed) slight sore throat on Thursday morning but it hit me hard Thursday evening. It definitely sucked for a few days. I feel pretty much better today.
My thoughts on how "severe" it felt is that it was probably a little worse that a bad flu but, went away much quicker. The headache (which was severe the first night) lasted for 3 days. The "brain fog" was real and weird and I think it's all cleared up. My cough has been pretty mild but, worse for my wife and daughters.
The symptoms paled in comparison to when I had Malaria but, still bad enough that I wouldn't want a repeat.
First it was my granddaughter who attended an inside “summer camp” at a local museum.
Daughter, son in-law, and my wife all got it a few days after her. I just tested positive today—probably from my wife.
All of us vaccinated and boosted.
Granddaughter is fine now, and was after the third day. My son in-law doing better after about 7 days. My wife after 5 days is doing pretty well. My daughter is still pretty much bedridden and has been for about a week.
I stayed in bed and binge watched stuff this weekend, but my temp is back down to normal though I still have the cough and my pulse ox has been as low as 92% today.

Maybe 4-6 months ago daughter and wife tested positive and had mild symptoms, I tested negative and son didn't have any symptoms.
got it? Sounds like your middle daughter got it first.
We haven't got it. But we paid pretty heavy price to avoid it. We haven't had any out of state travel (air travel) since Oct/Nov 2019. Ate much less in restaurants. We attended school indoor games a few times, wedding and funeral each once. All were done with wearing mask.
We have very rarely worn masks since those mandates all went away in Ohio. Have been living life pretty much like pre-pandemic for quite some time. Exception being during the big Omicron spike over the winter. A lot of friends we hang out with are doctors and we have modeled a lot of our habits based on how they are handling it.
Anyway, I doubt we'd be able to pin down where exactly she got it. Most of her activities are outdoors and no friends of hers have come down with it. Maybe when she was out shopping with friends or out to lunch? Nothing egregious I could point to though. Seems like the current strain is so contagious that it will be difficult to avoid.
for one day and some congestion, but then by day 3 and 4, fatigue set in along with loss of taste and smell. Then I was fine. Everyone else basically ran a low grade fever and had some congestion for a few days, but nothing crazy. In fact, I've had worse head colds and the flu than this, but it does seem to hit people differently. I was vaxed a year ago. Never got the booster after learning the current strains aren't all that bad and the vax wasn't going to stop it. Going forward, I'm not worrying about getting it again.
