Ms. Hutchinson was asked by Tony Ornato to come into his office...he shut the door, then
immediately started relating to her the account of a very unusual occurrence, involving Rob Engel...also in the room... that had just happened in Trump's vehicle (the "SUV") on its return to the White House...
If nothing 'untoward' had happened, why would Ornato do this?...You can bet your bottom dollar that what happened was not materially different from her testimony.
Now back to the fact that Donald Trump desperately wanted to lead the throng headed to the Capitol...regardless of the fact that many had AR-15s, Glocks, etc....for the clear purpose of obstructing the Constitutional transition of power...
That's the story...not whether or not Trump's arm was grabbed

Tony Ornato and Bobby Engel to testify live then Ms. Hutchinson's testimony will remain intact and unchallenged. You can believe her then, but I watched her and I saw a witness over coached and consequently unable to keep things in order.
If I had the opportunity to cross-examine her, the first question would be:
How many times did you meet with someone representing the committee?
She is a female interpretation of Kato Kaelin.
Do you disagree with the logic of the occurrence?...I mean she was asked to enter Ornato's office
and all they talked about was a very unusual incident involving Trump, Engel and the SUV coming back to the WH...only someone like Trump would make up that kind of 'Whopper' and think they could peddle it to the whole world.

Now Messrs Tony Omato and Bobby Engel have said they will appear live if asked. I suspect that is the last thing the committee wants.

...that happened immediately after the Secret Service said the incident in question did not happen in the manner Ms. Hutchinson described. As Jar noted the agents in question have likely already been deposed by the committee and no further testimony will be sought and their testimony will not be aired. In all probability it would be damaging to the witness's testimony. This will allow the audience (minimal as it might be) to draw their own conclusions as the testimony will not be refuted publicly. Which is precisely what the committee intended.
As you've rightly noted a number of times, this is not a court of law, and the standards are vastly different. People can therefore be rightly skeptical of any of the "testimony" that comes out of it. This is a partisan committee that is not throwing straight dice. I know you feel differently.
