They think 40 hours in office is the only way to go because workers don't ever screw off at work.
Private sector unions are dead and are never coming back. I'm actually a fan of collective bargaining for the working class, but it's dead, aside from public sector unions, and even those will continue to deline in membership over time. The Left likes to blame this solely on Republicans, but the truth is, between your generation and the millennials, you simply don't want to pay even nominal dues or put in any work for such bargaining. The private sector union members are overwhelmingly older. Additionally, you don't turn out to vote.
