I fully support their change even I know it is unlikely.
Similar thing happened in Chinese in which the term president is terribly translated, literally meaning a military general. That's why Chinese don't use the term president to call their president unless it is spoken or written in English. This is so confusing to many people. Why both President Xi and president Biden are called in different terms of title in Chinese, but they are same in English? Simple explanation: Chinese don't like foreign term "president". They keep the term for foreigners. We can blame it's original poor translation of 100 years ago. But the damage is done.
The moral of this story, translation is not localization. Something is not translatable. It has to be localized. So is so-called western value of liberal democracy.
