Tulane makes the news for being intolerant of conservatives. Hunter on faculty not surprising?

Please tell me that the students involved in doxing, setting a dorm room on fire, and publicly shaming conservatives were dismissed from school.

Stories like this tell one side, let’s hear the other (killing the rep of the complainant alone won’t do though).
Please note that the Left never, ever wants to hear the other side before they pass judgment. We do.

As a parent, I want my child to be safe. Are they safe at Tulane if they don’t tow the liberal line?

I don’t know anything about it. It looks like a special thing - it is not operating on the usual university calendar. Probably have to apply to get in. Hunter is one of a dozen guest speakers who have been announced. That’s it.

James Carville’s class was like this. He brought in all kinds of speakers, r and D. I had dinner with Newt Gingrich after he talked in that class. Bobby Jindall too.

And give me some fucking credit. I understand he’s a guest speaker (that is an embarrassing joke for Tulane by the way, but it isn’t my question).

Did Tulane protect its conservative students when they were targeted as they would have other groups, or did they do nothing?

Their contribution was in 'Addition' to the '6 Foot Rule', not a refutation of it.

You know the truth...Baron "assumed" that there was no plan...he never even did a 15 sec. Google search for a Biden plan to address the critical need for cyber security of our power grid...I showed you the media report on it. It's sad to see, but Baron makes stuff up...not helpful to anyone...and a black mark on his believability....the same can be said of his MIT report...if you'd like me to walk you through it (I read the whole thing) and show you where he deliberately misled everyone here, I'll be happy to do so.

...that we'll now be placing dependence on it for everything.

I am only speaking to your response where you tout Biden as having a plan. You, at that time, cited a report relying on "two unnamed people" who said a DRAFT plan was being worked on and could be released in 5 days. (That was about two weeks ago.)

So, being honest, a plan is still in the works and is overdue according to that anonymously sourced report which you billed as "incontrovertible evidence".

You misrepresented the "plan" and continue to do so now raising "security concerns" as the reason it's not available. You just made that up as an excuse of course..

Last time it was supposed to out within 5 days if not sooner. I get that certain specifics would and should be classified. That doesn't mean the "plan" can not be disclosed in part. It was going to be disclosed? According to the incontrovertible story, right? Now it can't?

Again, the mere existence of a "draft plan" doesn't mean we are protected or that it is remotely adequate. No one has the slightest idea...least of all you since you're acting as a cheerleader here.

If the plan rivals Biden's border plan...it is nonexistent. I hope, whenever it shows up, that it's comprehensive and adequate, as the security concerns are monumental and any failure in that regard would be cataclysmic once as our dependence continues to grow.

As an aside, you showed up here stating your major concern was promoting Nuclear Energy...yet as Biden reveals himself to be a mouthpiece for a hard left Progressive agenda you're still invested in propping him up at seemingly every turn knowing that group has little use for your former pet concern.

and defend himself, instead of pouting off in a corner and relying on you do do his bidding.

Now to your comments...I'll intersperse my replies to them below...

"Baron actually said there was no allocation in the infrastructure bill to protect the grid given...that we'll now be placing dependence on it for everything."
---------------
Baron could have taken the time to find out if the Biden admin was doing anything in the area of cyber security for our electrical grid...he did not...this is IMO willful ignorance on a topic he felt was important enough to bring to everyone's attention...can only guess why the thought never crossed his mind
---------------
"I am only speaking to your response where you tout Biden as having a plan. You, at that time, cited a report relying on "two unnamed people" who said a DRAFT plan was being worked on and could be released in 5 days. (That was about two weeks ago.)"
---------------
I cited a Bloomberg article penned by two of their reporters...btw, I think it's a safe bet they would be fired for falsely claiming such an effort was underway when it wasn't. The following subsequent reports by other sources show their article was indeed factual...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/04/20/cybersecurity-202-biden-administration-rolls-out-100-day-plan-improve-electric-grid-cybersecurity/

----------------
"So, being honest, a plan is still in the works and is overdue according to that anonymously sourced report which you billed as "incontrovertible evidence"."
-----------------
First, take another look at the sources listed above...a plan is indeed being developed...and given that there was an earlier report from Bloomberg in mid-March (check it out yourself)...it was already underway only one month after Biden's administration took over...it is "incontrovertible" that Biden's admin had grid security at the top of their "To Do" list.
Second...Baron has never owned up to this fact and even "tweaked" his post to acknowledge his error.
-----------------
"You misrepresented the "plan" and continue to do so now raising "security concerns" as the reason it's not available. You just made that up as an excuse of course.."
-----------------
You've got to be kidding..."any reasonable person (from Sidney Powell)" would know that I was expressing my thoughts on whether the 'details' of such a plan would ever be shown to the public...even you admitted that "certain specifics would and should be classified"...that's all I was saying...again, this announcement was made less than two months into the new admin...and so, I did not 'misrepresent the plan'.
-----------------
"Last time it was supposed to out within 5 days if not sooner. I get that certain specifics would and should be classified. That doesn't mean the "plan" can not be disclosed in part. It was going to be disclosed? According to the incontrovertible story, right? Now it can't?"
-----------------
By now, I would hope you've grasped the fact that a serious effort is underway by the Biden admin to address cyber security for our electrical grid...within one month of taking office...to expect a fully developed plan in this time frame is ludicrous and disingenuous for anyone to make such a statement.
----------------
"Again, the mere existence of a "draft plan" doesn't mean we are protected or that it is remotely adequate. No one has the slightest idea...least of all you since you're acting as a cheerleader here."
----------------
We know there is a Plan...is it finished?...is it robust enough?..."No one (outside the Biden administration) has the slightest idea"...at this point in time, I agree with you.
----------------
"If the plan rivals Biden's border plan...it is nonexistent. I hope, whenever it shows up, that it's comprehensive and adequate, as the security concerns are monumental and any failure in that regard would be cataclysmic once as our dependence continues to grow."
----------------
I agree with you...it's VERY important. BTW, this threat of cyber attacks on our electrical grid didn't just show up on January 20, 2021...ask yourself if you can recall any announcement of an initiative by the former administration.
----------------
"As an aside, you showed up here stating your major concern was promoting Nuclear Energy...yet as Biden reveals himself to be a mouthpiece for a hard left Progressive agenda you're still invested in propping him up at seemingly every turn knowing that group has little use for your former pet concern.
----------------
I am still wary of 'Anti-Nukes' who have lobbied Bernie Sanders and others, and am doing what I can to ensure that the U.S. does not adopt a 100% Wind/Solar/Hydro strategy, to the exclusion of a significant amount of nuclear power to provide reliability...I am hopeful that Biden's admin agrees...there are indications that this is the case...see the link below...

https://www.utilitydive.com/news/nuclear-has-another-friend-in-biden-but-changes-at-the-nrc-could-mean-more/593609/

Ok...those are my responses...again, please B-Mail Baron to defend his own positions/statements...but in the meantime, you might want to consider "Choosing your friends (more) wisely".

least we both know now that there is a plan in the works by the Biden administration to protect our energy grid from cyber attacks...contrary to Baron's assertion, which was the purpose of my original post, so we're making progress.

In your spirited defense of Baron, you cling to the notion that a complex endeavor like protecting an energy grid - that is just now being re-formulated (e.g. heavy wind/solar/hydro/gas/geothermal/nuclear) - is "overdue" after just 100 days in office...you are one tough task master...at least for the Biden admin...not so much for the previous one...speaking of which, where in the public record is Trump's completed plan for "Infrastructure", "Health Care", or even "Electrical Grid Protection from Cyber Attacks"?

As to my implicit trust in Biden...having a technical background, I embrace the phrase "In God we trust...all others bring Data". We'll have to wait and see what happens with this particular issue, but the fact that his admin jumped on such an important issue immediately gives me a measure of hope, if not complete confidence.

Lest you harbor thoughts that I'm 'Anti-Conservative', keep in mind that at least 332 prominent Republicans publicly stated their support for Biden in 2020...to 'borrow' from another source, the "Great Satan" in our midst is Donald Trump.

Finally, I'll share a quick insight...years ago when I was a young engineer working on 'Fast Reactors', my wife and I were guests at a dinner party hosted by friends of my in-laws...after dinner we engaged in conversation with others and after being asked what I did, I went on to explain some of the FBR technology features/benefits...well apparently, in this "tony" section of the Bay Area, there were a few "Anti-Nukes" in the discussion group, and when we left the party, I found that one of my tires had been slashed...so, I'm quite aware of how 'extremists' from either side of the political spectrum "roll"...one more thing on that...I understand their genuine concerns and fears, so rather than just steep myself in anger, I try to remember where they're coming from and do my best to communicate more effectively...and keep an open mind as to what an acceptable compromise might look like.

So again I ask, what did Tulane do to the doxers, public assaulters (shaming at a dining hall falls under this - in fact it is a hate crime if the rule is applied equally), and arsonists who were actually charged.

Unlike some, I actually want to know if they did anything. Like football programs who have athletes cheating in school or acting badly, its not that it happened there s much as what their response to the event is. That response has the ability to make such events not happen anymore.

Unfortunately, it would appear that the students were acting in a way that suggests that they knew that their behavior would be tolerated.
