As Democrats normalize the idea of no restrictions on abortion to enable killing babies at 9 months, and even killing post-birth babies (as voted on in CA and MD), as Democrats pursue the hypersexualization of children's education (I particularly enjoyed the teacher in WA, who is also a sex shop owner, having a field trip to her store), and as Democrats pursue the gender transitioning of pre-pubescent children through irreversible chemical castration and surgeries when these kids have no mental capacity whatsoever to make such a life-altering decision, it will not be long before Democrats normalize pedophilia, giving kids the choice to consent to having relations with an adult.

place in hell for these types of people.
I feel it's clear that this never in a million years occurs to most folk while pedos are compelled to act out this way.
It's not like most people are resisting this temptation.
It's too simplistic and lazy to simply call them evil.
It's seems almost like heroin addiction or something.
Of course, it may be that there are many more pedophiles than the ones who get arrested. Maybe 98% of them can resist the urge.
I have not stumbled upon any psychological research on the condition, and it is not something I care to do much googling about.
There are people who have minimal impulse control, and such people are properly prime candidates for removal from society.
I think people have all kinds of crazy temptations, regarding things many of us would find repulsive, but that, by itself is not dangerous. If they resist those thoughts, or keep them firmly in the fantasy world, then no harm is done.
What is dangerous is the inability to separate temptation and fantasy from their own reality...the inability to move away from those things to better thoughts.
Notably, while mere drug use might not be harmful, it does lower inhibitions. Drug abusers are far more likely to act on impulse.
Now, having said all that, what the hell do I know? I'm not a trained psychiatrist or whatever. I just think people need to consciously choose to (1) keep their fantasies away from reality, and not try to realze every temptation, and (2) cultivate a lifestyle that encourages positive fantasies, and discourages negative fantasies.
That is one reason I like the Catholic Church so much...I think over 2000 years, they have developed a pretty good thought system to do that. I hope my kids use that thought system, because if they do, they are far more likely to lead happy and fruitful lives in the here and now. Granted, there is the reward in the afterlife, but I happen to think a good Catholic life also leads to maximizing one's happiness now.
Just some random thoughts prompted by your post, but not directed to you.
Most people aren't busy resisting the temptation to steal or to murder...but some people do seem compelled to act out on those thoughts.
Are they evil? Is it more complicated than that?
Does it matter?...at least, does it matter to society at large? not really.
People who choose not to live by societal norms regarding non-aggression, or people who are incapable of choosing to live by societal norms regarding non-aggression, must be removed from society.
We don't know how many people have temptations to engage in aggression and yet don't do so because they have self control...and we don't usually care. Being in control of yourself and not acting on aggressive temptations is good enough for society.
Temptations are just temptations...and should not be punished by government...but churches and therapists can provide voluntary assistance. I consider that to be a primary service churches provide to society.
Aggression is aggression...and should be punished by government, regardless of the reason for it.

him on the altar of pedophilia.. So GFY lightweight
But then their understanding of sexual fluidity has evolved.
Of course it's odd that any movement toward promulgation of non-reproductive sexuality would ever "evolve."
After all, evolution depends entirely on heterosexuality to mix the genes.
On the other hand, perhaps this is evolution's way of solving the over population problem.
I mean, studies with rats resulted in iincreased homosxuailty under overcrowed conditions.

From the linked report...the largest change in attitude (toward acceptance) came from conservatives...surprised me when I saw this...also, the trend appears to be toward increasing acceptance. IMO there is more understanding now...as well as more experience/observation of these circumstances...

People like you also assured us that gay marriage imperiled heterosexual marriage somehow.
Still waiting for that.
But cheer up. You might get to ban it yet, if Clarence Thomas can convince the other religious fanatics on the Court of their duty to the wrathful God.
You guys have been taking the lazy short cut of judicial legislation. Blame only yourselvs. We live in a republic.
But you tell me which human sexual perversions are just natural and which are not and then explain why?

many different players...all of them need to be dealt with.

This lies in the realm of the human unconscious and what gets repressed theire during early development. Almost no one has the courage to go there. But It’s leaking out now more than ever.
education from early age through adulthood...clearly the "status quo" isn't cutting it. It's obviously a sensitive topic, but as evidenced by other "Progressive" societies...notably in Europe/Scandinavia...it can be done with dramatic success...when compared to our statistics (e.g. unwanted pregnancies...abortions...STDs...). A better educated and adjusted populace leads to fewer sexually violent crimes...Note: the U.S. has 14 times more rapes than Sweden.('NationMaster' stats)
All of this derives from trauma repressed in early development
intertwined...efforts continue in the 'Nature' arena to understand the interplay of genetics, hormone development, etc, but no conclusive determinations have been made thus far....on the 'Nurture' side, we can find "Education" efforts actually being applied (e.g. Europe/Scandinavia and the macro data i.e. Abortion Rates...STDs...Rapes) with definably beneficial benefits...
There's no need to focus on one sphere to the exclusion of the other, as most investigators would admit both apply.
100% correct.
