Exactly as you would expect: 96% of cases in UK have been among homosexuals, of whom, 54%(!) have had an STI in the past year, and 31%(!!!) have had 10 or more sexual partners in the previous three months.
Check out the primary risk factors.
goes on with you and others on this board...where have you been for the last several decades?...over 70% of the American public is "Okay" with same sex marriages, for heavens sake...get on with your own lives...those folks are not causing you any harm...
btw, The LGBTQ community is apparently well aware of Monkeypox and their unique risk factors...hopefully, they are listening to the CDC and taking appropriate precautions.
I'll also add...and not for the first time...many LGBTQ citizens are likely to be more accomplished and productive than some of our posters who deride them....maybe, there's some jealousy involved here...who knows.

If you actually cared about the LGBTQ community, this would upset you.

describing the U.S. response to monkeypox....here's the section that excerpt came from...
-----------------------
In describing the U.S. response to monkeypox, “the main adjective that comes to mind is sluggish,” says Monica Gandhi, a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. She published a June 24 essay in the Atlantic arguing that the country was underreacting to monkeypox. At that time the “fire was already being lit,” she says: the U.K. and Canada had already started vaccinating people. “I was actually surprised that we are this far behind.”
----------------------
This outbreak just started two months ago, and while ubiquitous testing and availability of vaccines is not at a desired level yet, both aspects are being aggressively ramped up as this and other articles show...and while it is a serious disease, it is nowhere near as transmissible or deadly as SARS-CoV-2, which the CDC is still actively dealing with.
Would be nice if the CDC were totally ready for Monkeypox at the beginning of May, but that's IMO asking a bit much...from what I've read, we should be in much better shape by August....let's see if that's true.
On the positive side, the CDC didn't call it a "Hoax"...

maybe it's my Irish heritage having learned what can happen when a dominant group disregards basic rights and dignities to a much less powerful one...to the point that they even think it's a blessing from God that those suppressed persons are being starved to death...and those that survive have no voice...no access to economic improvement and so on...hopefully, you get the picture.
The LGBTQ community is just one such example...the situation and circumstances may not be the same, but the unwarranted verbal and legal attacks are sadly similar.
We all have one life to experience...I"d like to see everyone enjoy theirs as best they can without being unfairly restrained.
