with words like "upending a legitimate election"..."most important investigation ever at the DOJ"..."hold accountable every person criminally responsible"...it doesn't seem likely that DJT is going to skate free on this one.

I disagree it’s Garland’s responsibility to decide if an indictment and conviction is good for the nation.
It’s the peoples responsibility in the election process.
My thoughts - LOCK HIM UP!!!
And LOCK UP all his cronies!!!
Prosecutions are a different animal from politics, even if they are politically motivated.
The Donald will not be intimidated into a plead out by the shear cost of his defense... unlike so many DOJ defendants.
Don't take me wrong... he's a curse and I'd love to see him leave the building one way or the other.
...that the hearing testimony is absolutely sufficient for Trump's conviction and for him to be drawn and quartered without bothering with a trial...
hearings have revealed enough "Probable Cause" for an indictment of DJT, as well as all other persons who are considered "criminally responsible" for the attempt to overturn the legitimate 2020 Presidential election...and given AG Garland's commitment to "Getting it Right", I believe DJT, et al, will indeed be convicted...
btw, I would not want to see anyone 'drawn and quartered'...just a small room in Florence, Colorado for Donald J. Trump...along with a gold toilet befitting his former life.
...attempt to validate their feelings of Trump's guilt based on the hearings...which are essentially one side of a case.
I don't much care what happens to Trump. Never liked him. Never voted for him. Don't want him reelected. Still not seeing anything convincing enough to demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that he orchestrated a coup...
have to wait and see.
While we're at it, though, what doubts do you have as to DJT's guilt for orchestrating a criminal attempt to overthrow the 2020 election?
him convicted. Felt certain he would be convicted after I saw the prosecution's side of the case...
After watching Roy Black's defense, never thought he could or should be convicted.
I often think of that when I've only heard one side of a case...
presented overwhelming evidence that Trump knew he had lost a fair election back in mid-December, 2020...therefore, his subsequent efforts to deny that fact have undeniable "Criminal Intent"...and so it goes...only politics can save him.

Trump’s utter lack of action over a 3 hour period, despite his staff begging him to stop the mass mob, will be the final straw establishing Trump’s intent and complicity. “Notice” + Inaction can sometimes offer the most incriminating evidence to establish criminal intent.
Two things will unfold after tonight’s Congressional hearing before the Select Committee. One, the Department of Justice will be compelled to charge Trump. Two, a substantial segment of GOP voters will throw in for a Plan B 2024 candidate, realizing that Trump cannot win a General Election. By Labor Day, Desantis will overtake Trump in GOP polling.

...so that pretty much cinches it...

He is certainly guilty, of many things, including most recently witness tampering.
The question is whether indicting a former prez is good for the country. That’s what the AG must decide…or do his crimes rise to the level of making a prosecution worthwhile.
It’s a helluva decision.

Twinkies is the official snack of the 1/6 "watch" crowd. I can see it now. These pink P Hat twits texting each other during the "proceedings" in orgasmic ecstasy about what Lizzy just said or the latest witness "gotcha" testimony. LOL. Then , the heavy discussion on twitter about what NPR's opinion on the latest "proceedings". The icing on the gender neutral cake, our esteemed lefties, armed with their new found knowledge, come here to dazzle the rest of us, only to be completely destroyed in about 10 minutes. These next 24 hours are going to be exciting times. Fasten your seatbelt everyone. The circus is coming to a town near you.
