When members of the House - R or D - get involved in foreign policy, it’s always a disaster.
She should stay in her lane.

that. She should stay in her lane, but she never has. Regardless, wtf do you think it's provocation for one of our high ranking officials to visit a long time ally? If China gets away with this, it is another step back for us in appeasement.
What a bunch of rank amateurs this admin are.
The order of options, best to worst:
1) She says nothing about going and does not go.
2) She says she is going to go, and she goes.
3) She says she is going to go, and then she backs down to Chinese threats and does not go.
Right now, the best outcome is option 2. She already passed up on option 1.
Right now, keeping China out of the Russia — Ukraine conflict, far surpasses any optics of “backing down” to China re this visit.
Also, no sense putting Taiwan at risk over a visit by the Speaker.

to Ukraine. It's his wet dream.
Joint statement, and only meet her counterpart, president of Legislative Yuan (Taiwan congress). This way, Pelosi shows China she respects China and makes concession. But she still doesn't lose her principle - she is determined to go to Taiwan.
Pelosi's trip is for her own legacy. This is the reason why I believed she would likely go, and nobody can stop her. Regardless of D losing or keeping the house on November, she won't be the majority leader.
Much like her husband…
And she refused to back down. This really doesn’t make much sense at all.
What other flags will Jim add to his bio by the end of the Vegetable's reign?
