Br careful what you wish for. I realize that the "experts" on TV aren't as accomplished as the "experts" on this board, but, from what I have read and heard, the U.S. is not prepared. We are stretched thin. Numbers are down. This administration is not the ones to be saber rattling.

While we are coming off the GWOT, we’re still capable of deploying anywhere in the world within 18 hours. We have the strongest and most lethal military in the history of the world and I’m not even talking about nukes. We were successful in Iraq and Afghanistan on the battlefield, but our military was built to destroy either Russia or China if need be. Never underestimate our global military capabilities.

I have no expertise in these matters and neither does anyone else on this board. I do know that we left Afghanistan in disgrace , not to mention all the equipment we left our enemy. Whose decision was that? Twenty-six Navy Seals have been dismissed for not getting that all holy jab. Recruitment numbers are way down. We are sending so much to Ukraine that we are leaving our own selves short. And, who around here is even keeping track of the money and equipment sent to Ukraine? We have Generals more interested in eliminating some kind of white nationalism from our troops and these same Generals, at the top mind you, encourage CRT at our academies. A course on BLM apparently is taught at the AF academy. The AF higher ups are apparently also way into drag queen shows at their base. Does this sound like a military that is ready for China/Russia/NK? And the simulated war games between USA and China? How do you think those turn out? Not sure this WH and its military leaders know how to win a war. China has been building their military. We have been working on pronouns. It's easy for someone with no skin in the game to rah rah our military into a conflict in Ukraine and a full out war with China/Russia. Do you trust the war machine, "making war just for fun"? I hope I am wrong if the worst happens.

Trust me, I like Fox, but some of them have gone off the deep end over there. I treat Fox like I do MSNBC and CNN. There are far better news sources and the ones I follow say nothing about the USA being unprepared to fight China or Russia if need be. Now, don't get me wrong...I don't want a war with either of them, but if it did happen, we'd come out on top rather easily. Neither would use nukes as that would most assuredly be mutual destruction. In a "conventional" war, we would dominate them. There's no doubt about that. We spend in excess of 600 billion on defense. That's more than the next 7 countries on the top militaries list.
