If they use that excuse, they really do think we’re all idiots. You would think any nuclear codes would automatically changed by 6:00 on inauguration day, but what do I know. Maybe our government really is incompetent.

technology...response procedures/protocols, etc.
Oh, and let's not forget the "Sig-Int" topic...i.e. how do we actually gather foreign intelligence...that may be the bigger deal in all of this.
How “significant” could these “significant nuclear secrets” – or any other “significant documents” be if it is true that they visited Trumps home in the past and left them there and just told him to leave the documents there in a locked room?
In addition, if the raid had suddenly become so urgent after Trump has been out of the white house for so long, why would they obtain a warrant on Friday and wait until after they finished their weekend vacations and barbeques—until Monday—to conduct a raid on the man’s home?
But I guess there could be more that we don’t know. We really should be told more, and questions should be answered. What do you think?
beforehand...stay tuned...this 'episode' is just starting to unfold.
And the intent was to execute the search while he was absent.
This narrative makes sense to me, but I can understand why people are skeptical given the history of "walls closing in" and bad reporting based on "sources".
Then he received a subpoena. He didn’t return all the info. But still for many more months and visits to his Florida home by officials he refused to return the material. Hence the warrant.
This has all been reported. Stop watching FOX TV.
You say it was done because he didn’t answer a subpoena fast enough for you? Are you sure you’re not the one watching too much FOX NEWS?
One of the reports I saw indicated that the DOJ actually provided President Trump’s team with statements that confirmed they were cooperating. What could have broken down to raid a man’s home? Are you saying he didn’t snap to it quickly enough for you, but other presidents can have disputed documents in their possession for years after leaving office? Wow, there really wasn't a less intrusive way to do this? Don't you know this really calls into question Garland's competence as a lawyer? Garland is the Attorney General, really?
of the documents is too difficult for you to understand?
Being willfully obtuse doesn’t help your standing.
and Garland can't find any other alternative...willfully obtuse, indeed.

I’m not one who cares what happens to Trump…but: “He’s selling nuclear secrets to the world and Putin is his broker”? Really?
Keeping the burner phone to talk to Vlad in Melania’s panty drawer?
Not just a page or two, boxes and boxes of the stuff.
They’re his new snuggy blanket? What reason would anyone have to keep a trove of information that belongs to the government?
Probably to monetize them perhaps?
Though it’s funny to highlight that on this site when the speculation rolls the other way about 10:1 (e.g., they planted evidence).
...on a raid of former POTUS for National Archives materials and an overdue Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone copy.
“Sources” as well. You just choose to believe one side.
Perhaps just wait for everything. You won’t because oh went loony a few years ago but…just perhaps.
And who gave Trump a list of what to take. And whether that person is the source.
But conservatives are screwballs. Hmmmmkay
have jumped to the front of the "Screwball" line ;-)...but I don't believe that's what's happening here...just a very weak attempt at deflection...you have to know there are others involved in this.

And let's not forget the sig-int that Trump stole!
my statement...(see link)...note the specific references to "nuclear weapons" and "Signals Intelligence"...this is why I so often use the "Link" feature...to provide substantive backup to my posts...you should try it yourself.
Now if you want to quibble over the WaPo's source, or sources...have at it...but they have a LONG history of only using well vetted sources (e.g. "Deep Throat" for Watergate)...if you place your trust in FOX"News", OAN, Breitbart, or Alex Jones, then you are deceiving yourself.

SIGINT could also mean lots of things. Trump already spilled some of it to the Russians, when he took their ambassador and foreign minister on a tour of the White House, with no one from our side present. We only new about it because a reporter from TASS took a picture.
Think about that.

2) nuclear secrets don’t mean codes.
