The guy who did this was arrested 2 decades ago for a similar kidnapping but the person got away that time. This lady wasn't so lucky.

Where she was abducted was right through the college streets in the high-end midtown area of Memphis. She'd lived near there for most of her life (she's from the Orgill family) and thought like most people that it was a safe area.
Memphis just continues to get worse and worse. That this sub-human was free on the streets unmonitored after attempting to kidnap and kill an attorney 2 decades back tells you everything you need to know about the wisdom behind "rehabbing" violent criminals.
As in: some type of accidental friction at a grocery store.
It seems an oddity he knew her jogging time, jogging route. It could be random just didn’t or doesn’t feel that way.
24 year sentence. I don’t think he need to have “friction” to commit this crime. He should never see the light of day again. The death penalty would be very fitting for this animal.

If the nice neighborhoods think they are immune from inner city crime, they are sadly mistaken.
It creeped into Cordova on the early 2000's when a couple of apartments began accepting Section 8 housing. Then East Memphis. Then Germantown for a bit before they beefed up police staff.
These days, you just have to plan on living in Collierville, Germantown, or Fayette County to feel genuinely safe.
