Not a lawyer, but this seems like a gigantic unconstitutional fishing expedition by the Feds.
FBI raided a safe-deposit storage company and opened every box. They seized all of the cash and gold there even though they had no idea who the individual customers were. They later built some spurious asset forfeiture cases based on vaporous, unsupported allegations. The judge who granted the warrant specifically told them they could not do that.

what this case is all about...as I understand from reading your link, the customers possessions have all been placed in their own secured 'bags' and a notice placed at the establishment saying they can request the return of those items...but they have to clearly identify themselves and prove that the contents are not involved in any criminal behavior...unless you are a proponent of more drug dealing in this country, I would think you'd lean in favor of the FBI's handling of this situation...I know I am.
It’s understandable if it were to be used after a conviction, but prior to that it’s just stealing.
In her affidavit, Zellhart made sweeping allegations of criminal wrongdoing by box holders, saying it would be “irrational” for anyone who wasn’t a lawbreaker to entrust the store with assets that a bank could better safeguard.
Prove your innocence!
Don’t give me any bullshit about “professionals”. This is what happens when underlings see the example of their bosses and uppers in the Deep State, and what happens when the FBI hires accordingly.
