Notre Dame has highly skilled basketball players, maybe more so than just about every team in the country. This is a testament to Brey's coaching.
Villanova has highly talented basketball players. And when those talented basketball players play with any sort of reasonable skill, ND doesn't win.
But man our team looks fun and we are more athletic than usual, though not quite as much as two years ago.
Villanova is good enough to have a sub-par game and still win against decent competition.
The Irish have still not played an away game on someone's home court. Brey coasts on an easy non-con schedule and hopes to go .500 in the ACC to secure a bid to the dance. That is the way for him and it works but I never expect much from his teams.
