No victories away from home against a ranked team unless you count the Northwestern game, and lost every big game except for Louisville - and that was at home.
If this team can't win at Louisville, we might be seeing an NIT team here. This team is 1-6 vs. the Sagarin top 25 teams, which is not a good sign. Hopefully this is just a midseason lull, but I have a feeling it's not.
Everything went great early in the season. Now I just think they know teams have figured them out.
I think they have Farrell figured out. Less cutting by other players and Matt and SV are getting caught going up in the air with the ball and no one to pass to. Like facing a rookie pitcher the first time and getting struck out but eventually you figure him out.
We are down to a two man bench and even those players are not contributing. Gibbs is out of control on the drive and getting stuffed. Rex might be better when he takes Vasturia's spot next year.
When I was at school, the objective for a great season was the Final Four. Since then we strive for a way in the tourney and everything else is gravy. That is the definition of mediocrity. Pretty soon they will have 100 teams making the tourney to raise more cash for the crime syndicate and Brey will be crowing about 7-11 in the conference as the benchmark for getting in. Keep lowering the bar and collect that paycheck. Maybe no one will notice.
