Considered a lackluster year by some followers, the team only has three losses and two were during a long road trip. MM pushes the team and is not afraid to bench star players if they are selfish. I would hazard a guess she would be a better coach than Brey if she had the chance to coach the men. At least she could recruit the big trees.
This is not true in men's basketball. Hell Brey could coach the womens' team to the final four every year too.
He would find a way to choke in the tourney.
Fundamentally sound
Great athletes...

I have said for years that she is the best coach at ND, by a long shot. She had to replace significant senior talent and leadership, and last night she played two freshmen (freshwomen?) most of the game.
Muffett is rounding them into a powerhouse -- again -- and they will be a force in the Tourney. If they can replace the best point guard in women's college basketball next year, they will be fabulous with Agunbowale, Mabrey, Turner, Boley and Young as their core.
Patberg will be the key next year. A ball handler in that offense and penetrator is a must. Hopefully Jackie Young and Boley up their games. They have shown flashes this year of how good their skill set is.
Hopefully Ryan and Geben can do the same on the men's side. I have zero confidence in either one.

A dead golfer is better than 1/2 the men's team.
