Terrible news for ND. Very sorry for Ms. Turner, a spectacular talent.
Hope for a complete recovery.
This happened to Natalie Achonwa a few years back, giving ND no chance against UConn. Snakebit.
Personally, I will be more than content if Ms. Turner earns her degree and benefits from it over her lifetime. She has already more than earned this benefit.
structure of the knee. The upside is that they seem to recover quicker from this injury. Unfortunately it does us no good this year. When we played UCONN earlier this year, we played poorly, rushing and out of control for 3 quarters, and we were still even with them at the end of the 3rd. I really felt ND could beat them this year.
The knee is pretty much the same for men and women. It's the wider pelvis that women have that puts an additional strain on the knee ligaments that makes women more susceptible to ligament tears.

They are indeed. The men's team has been incredibly lucky not to have suffered serious injury to any of their key players lately. Compare ND to Duke, who was devastated this year. Kind of like ND Football.
One thing I love about the women are they do not make excuses. Muffet is very blunt in her assessment of the players and asks that everyone plays to their best. A little different than the men against boys head coach.
