I hate to admit it, especially considering the high expectations I had for this group. They simply don't seem to enjoy playing together. Rebounding is awful. Defense is awful. Too many wide open looks not falling. And the team that lead the nation in FT percentage last year isn't to be found in the top 50. I never put much thought into the T-shirts that the squad wears with the Umbrella, clap etc. but now I have to wonder if Brey saw something in the weeks leading up to the season that triggered the idea. I know it is still early, and CBB is a long season, but I'm just not seeing it with this group. They're too easily beatable. Too many weaknesses.
collapse the defense for a hand-off to Colson or kick out for a three.

Pflueger is a real dilemma. I am hoping his athleticism pulls something spectacular at the least expected time, but he is not a basketball player first. I am also waiting for the freshman #3 to step up a little more. Gibbs can be superior at times. Always have to make free throws though and believe it or not that fundamental is a game maker or breaker.

We're a good two starters away from being any kind of a contender..Phlueger and Geben be nice 6th and 7th men on a sweet 16 team..And our defense is bad, just look at Bonzie out there..Gibbs has been wildly inconsistent, disappearing at times..Farrell dominates ball too much, no movement, rare possessions all 5 guys are in the game
And you have to wonder about team attitude, there have been whispers of senioritis...It looked to this viewer, Indiana way more than our guys wanted to win..ND had numerous chances to salt game away, and didn't look that interested in doing so..Indiana refused to go away, to lose..ND refused to win...Huge difference..Brey needs to crack down on this team, start playing guys who want to be out there, record be damned..
it is starting to feel a little like Monty Williams/Pat Garrity trying to get it done on offense with Ryan Hoover/Keith Friel/Admore White.

Tell me we wouldn't be thrilled with an 11 point/8 rebound per game pivot this year, which is what he was as a senior.
