With the clock malfunction, why wasn't Wake given the ball under our basket with the full 5.9 seconds left ? Having to inbound the ball a second time from midcourt, and without the luxury of running the baseline, turned out to be a killer for them, and on their home court, no less.
Also, I was screaming at the TV when Farrell was guarding the inbound pass instead of a big man. Fortunately we got it right after the timeout.
Maybe the refs were in Munich in 1972.
Ball is to be inbounded at the spot where it had progressed when the refs blew the action dead. They then determined how much time should have elapsed and the game continues.
They made no announcement about the adjustment.
But that's a very nice facility -- 14,000 seats. Sold out, but lots of empty seats to watch two lower-echelon teams today.
