Prior to the two elite 8s, he was regarded as a very average coach by ND fans, and oft ripped for his game strategy..Now, because of the 2 elite 8s, in 18 yrs mind you, he's the savior..
I will continue to maintain ND can and should do better, but will continue to wallow in medocrity as apparently the school is well pleased with the program..As are many fans..
it is the safe choice...will graduate players and be competitive most of the time but never threaten for a national title...average - poor recruiter...although he has a good class coming in...he better!

Dame is an academic institution with a gym attached, not vice versa.
ND was an elite program in the early-to-mid Digger years. ND regularly got 5 star talent, once Digger started to win.

have that this year because Pflueger was a not threat who was starting by default, my favorite player, Gibbs, showed signs but is still only a sophomore and Farrell had to try to lead once Bonzie was out and that was a difficult burden especially as he suffered through injuries too.
