He chose proximity and comfort over all else.
I wrote this before. He's a 6'0" two-guard with a high dribble and not enough of a first step to get by defenders at that level. I read some of the same things about Farrell when he committed, but I watched a good deal of video of him and I thought he was quick. Certainly quicker than GIrard.
I'm not worried about losing him. I am worried about this class. Can't skunked again like a few years ago. I really thought Mitchell would sign on the dotted line but he's getting more and more interest. If Brey gets skunked, I'm guessing and hoping he will re-evaluate putting so much time into a guy like Stewart.
Who just happened to be his primary recruiter for pig faced satan. I've seen him play in the flesh several times, and the only D1 skill he has is the long ball. He can hardly play defense now and his handle is not going to fly in ACC play.
The Stewart love was a reach, and it better not cost ND a decent class.
The GMAC comparison is spot on. The kid can shoot the 3 but is too slow to get his own drive to basket and nowhere quick enough to guard m2m. Syracuse is good fit. He can hide in zone on defense and will be put in position to shoot the long ball in sets Syracuse runs.
