Were still on solid ground compared with the mess Phelps left us in when MacLeod took over, cheer up Irish fans we all be back
there just isn't enough talent on this team, and if this same team played 4 years together, they still wouldn't be good enough..
This team is very young and doesn't have NBA-ready players like Duke does. The only problem they seem to have so far is they can't shoot, and the offseason can take care of that. This team will be quite good in 2019-20 and back in the NCAA as probably no worse than a 6-seed.
as is Goodwin...You want mediocrity, you got it...and its time to look for an up an coming coach...Jay Wright, Mark Few do it every yr at small catholic schools..ND can do much better than Brey..
improve a ton over the summer. I think next year this team will win a lot and quite comfortably qualify for the NCAAs.
Not combative, just curious.

Very disappointing recruiting campaign so far, but there could be a spring signee (Tre Mitchell is still a possibility) or, more likely a graduate transfer.
as is stock rises and ND's season continues to look dismal, it seems difficult to believe he comes to a program with a lot of uncertainty.
Yes, they're terrible this year. but the biggest concern for recruits is that the coach will leave. That isn't happening. The staff isn't changing. They have a nice freshman class and, most importantly, a point guard who looks like he will be a good one. Mooney has one more year left and Durham can complement a guy like Mitchell. I agree that Mitchell probably won't come, but it would be a very good situation for a player looking to play a lot as a freshman. I suspect Mitchell will be a better player than a couple more highly-rated guys ND was recruiting in addition to him.
