WVU, Georgia, and ND are his final three. Have to believe it's now down to two, even with his dad coaching the WVU volleyball team.

Was Huggs drunk?

He's ashamed and embarrassed that he got caught.

Ecstatic to see a motivated coach working at the job...

We'll see where it all goes, of course, but I'm pleased just seeing the effort at the outset

He's a very bright guy. How many coaches would've just announced the commitments all at once,

after all had told him that they wanted to commit? Instead, Shrews asked them to stagger their announcements, so that you have four days of ND basketball being all over social media and regular media. He hasn't been hired yet, but how many other coaches hired someone directly from 247 or Rivals to be the recruiting guru for the program, because Brian Snow had scouted hundreds/thousands of HS players and had contacts with countless players and HS and AAU coaches?

All this puts to rest the rationalizations over the years, not here necessarily, but on the "other site" and from a certain ND basketball beat writer, who constantly told us how utterly difficult it was to recruit basketball players to ND. I hope we don't have to listen to that claptrap again. What it took was planning and hustle. Already on Twitter and beyond, there are tweets and posts about the new ND staff showing up at this tournament and that. It's mostly a matter of work. Brey wasn't willing to do that. I get it. He's 64. But he should've stepped aside long ago when his ambition cratered on the recruiting front.
