face off
ND is a great team and has had some great teams in the past as well. What we never seem to have is an exceptional face off guy or guys. Maybe we had one at some point, but I can't remember it. Not slamming the current guys, who've done better than some years, but when possession after each goal goes through the faceoff, it's hard to beat other tops teams that have a really good one.

The positive is that if ND wins, i think they are better than either Duke or PSU. However, Virginia
outplayed ND twice. ND's stars struggle sometimes in big games.
ND did beat Duke and Maryland…who handed UVA their 3 losses…

The first to games weren't really that close though.
I don't know what to think about Kevin Corrigan. I've been frustrated that he hasn't been able to get some really talented teams over the hump. On the flip side of your statement, if he loses to UVA 3 times, can we really expect that he'll ever win one?

Pull off the win and ND likely would face Duke in the Championship game on Memorial Day.
Duke has been their kryptonite in trying to claim the ultimate prize.
Wouldn't normally root for Penn State...but would love to see them knock off Duke.

If they win Saturday, I'll probably get tickets for the final Sunday. I'm more nervous about Virginia than Duke.
