short. Imagine taking 25 more shots than the other team which also committed 26 turnovers and losing. Always tough to lose deep into the tournament. The returning players will remember this game.
As for what she plans to do with the nose ring moving forward, Hidalgo said, "Next season, I'm going to play with it still until they tell me to take it out."
Grow up. Humiliating defeat.
Why would they make it a point of emphasis during the tournament? And IF u r going to emphasize it, remind the teams before the games and do it from the start.
How the hell do they let 2 rounds pass and then enforce it mid game in the 3rd round?
Rules are rules but half-assing enforcement is a joke too. Everyone is to blame for this kinda crap.

losing a close game in the sweet 16 is not exactly a humiliating loss.
She’s not a victim. She effed up. We lost a chance to advance because of vanity. That is humiliating.
They’ve played 3 on 5 and got further than they should have. As a team lived up to their potential
She missed 5 minutes because they couldn't get the diamond stud out of her nose--no jewelry rule.
But she lacked confidence: her shooting was terrible and she made bad decisions regarding when to pass and when to shoot. She was thinking too much and not playing loose, the exact opposite of how she played all year.
This was an outlier for her. She will bounce back.
This is the beauty of sports... following development!
How could she wear that all season and in the first 2 rounds?
They should dominate next year, if everyone who can return, does.
Miles will be back and they add Koval.
Didn't anyone notice her in the pre-game warmups?
No, yank her out during the game, so the team was forced to play without her.
