This loss will rank as one of the programs worst. I know the coach took
a mental at the end but the players from the last 5 minutes of the first half and the entire 2'nd half were terrible. First, Syracuse is not a good team and yet ND with a 17 point lead could not handle it. I guess the coach was upset with an illegal screen call on Davis ( it was a good call) and the coach truly lost it at the end of the game. Even Burton throughout the entire 2'nd half played nervously. It was a disaster.

Everybody knew this year was iffy. Burton’s injury made matters worse.

This is a game that the ND coach with all his experience should win 9 of 10 times. Leadership
extends to the players and they failed also. The comment of infusion of talent is coming, is what Syracuse fans are saying about their coach.
