I don’t think it was intentional. He was trying to tie up the ball and the guy moved at the last second. I’ve seen much worse that wasn’t reviewed. Back in the Jim Huggins Cincy days, they were in the Conference USA final against Marquette, and one of his guys blatantly slugged a Marquette player in the nuts; straight punched him. Refs didn’t see it but the Marquette coach was livid.
Kid was bending down to tie up the ball. Nothing about that looked intentional. It was a little stupid to try and tie up the ball because Shrewsberry already had it but nothing he did looked like it warranted a flagrant foul.
