His parents already want him to go to ND.
I was too young to remember Freddie, but his story is inspirational. Why did it take so long to get this the movie made? We Are Marshall was a no brainer in terms of its production, but it was nearly 20 years after it was pitched that it was finally produced. Have not seen a film made of the life of Joe Roth, the Cal qb who died just a few months after the end of his senior year. He wanted no one to know just how sick he was, he wanted to lead the Bears to a bowl. From all accounts, a great kid, cancer took him at 21.....
It was a good movie and had a "Brian's Song" feel to it. I never heard of Freddie and this story prior to watching.
ND could have used Freddie, big time.
I thought the very ending showing Texas today was lame. Freddie was more tough then their entire team combined in 2016.
It is a shame other posters didn't like it? Just guessing by the downvotes. Maybe just bad timing since we are opening against UT.
