National titles.
Those authored by Scott Janssen are not very good--I generally don't read them anymore.

Wow, the bar really has gotten low...he has a couple of ten win seasons...
And folks wonder why the program has lost it's luster
23 years since back to back ten win seasons
Wow.
before him.
Definitely not at Ara-level "magic."
Far, far better than the three before him, though.
Ara had no NCAA limits at all. Isn't that worth something in these comparisons?

These implications that he won because he was playing with Ara's talent are false. As my father always said, his biggest sin was that he wasn't Ara.
Although he did lose to a 30 point underdog in Mississippi the year he won his national title. We also were fortunate that we always got to play whoever was the top ranked team available in the bowl games. I mean in 1977 we went from number 5 to number 1 because we got to play Texas.
ND was even better after the SC green shirts smack down.
Before that game not so much.
While they were lucky to play for the NC, they deserved it at that point.

Nevermind going back to the era of Ara.

I love the enthusiasm Frank and Scott, but don't jinx them. They need to play up to their potential. Something that Kelly's teams haven't done from year to year. They also need to stay away from the injury bug that has hurt them the last couple years.
