at home. I wish every time ND had a home game, it would be a near guarantee win like that. I don't like Saban but respect his coaching.

Saban is a really good coach, but give him 6-6 talent, he's going 6-6. He's never, ever upset anyone. Bowden used to say, of great coaches "he can take his'n and beat yours'n, and take yours'n and beat his'n". Saban is not that guy. He's a guy that will step on anyone and break every rule to get Saban the players to get the wins.
At least 7 #1 recruiting classes in a row because of massive payola to players, cars, condos, "go if you want, and it doesn't interfere with football" academic requirements. He's running a pro organization, with a rabid fan base that will pay anything, and do anything, to win.
He cleared an extra 36 scholarships in his first four years by cutting players. Who else has been able to do that with impunity? Ole Miss started to under Freeze and he got crushed, then the SEC stepped in and stopped (or mildly slowed) it. By then Saban's cupboards were already overflowing. Ole Miss is also under investigation for Laremy Tunsil texting a coach that he needed more money ASAP. The exact same thing happened at Bama a few years before and the NCAA has yet to come within 100 miles of Tuscaloosa.
Bottom line, having your BFF as the NCAA president has allowed Bama to break every rule out there with impunity. That's why Bama is, has been and will continue to be the dominant force in CFB. Not because Saban is the GCOAT.
and it seems, expected (SEC). He was terrible at every stop before and in between.
and they couldn't pay their recruits as much as they had in the past. Bama putting together that many consecutive top recruiting classes has to be a record.....

Neither would Meyer, that's why he turned down his "dream job." ND's disadvantages are self-imposed and I wouldn't want to see that change. But to compare head coaches at different institutions playing the same game by different rules seems pretty ridiculous.
When Saban left MSU for LSU, he applied the same roster management that he does at Bama and the SEC has always let him get away with it. He pulls offers from recruits when a better one comes along, he stashes borderline recruits in junior colleges or lesser universities, he runs off players who he made a mistake on recruiting by either suggesting they won't play or by giving them a medical scholarship if Bama is more important to them then football, he back-fills with transfers, JUCOs, the stashed recruits, etc.He has no weak links. The reason he was so made with Barnett when he transferred was the QB position is the one spot where it is not easy to do the above.
Go through our roster and throw out everyone who is not at least 2nd on the depth chart and has been on the team 2 years. Fill it like Saban does and see what we would have as a result.

What makes you think we can have a power game like Bama? Or are you just hoping and dreaming?
