There is no perfect coach. Miles is a winner and his players play hard for him. BK is finesse.

When Miles was rumored to be headed to Michigan, I was pretty happy

He's not going to win a title for Notre Dame. He had a roster full of NFL stars on offense and could never develop an offense to go with his defense.

If/when Notre Dame moves on, Miles would be way, way, way down my list of candidates.

He had better talent at LSU than we have now at ND...

why would we think he would get better results in South Bend?

Thread Level: 2

He would never get past the ND gatekeepers.

He is not very smooth in public, and the PTB are concerned as much (more?) with image as with competence.

Everybody who wants to replace Kelly can only come up with somebody like Miles. Mile wouldn't have won 4 games this year.

Imagine..."Notre Dame names Ass-Hat Michigan Man head coach"

some former UM players/coaches coached at ND

Bob Chmiel, Bill Sheridan, Mike Trgovac,Greg Mattison and Corwin Brown. They loved ND and all but Trgovac left before they were ready. I wouldn't mind seeing Les Miles or Bill O'Brien as head coach but it looks like we are closed for business.

"They loved Notre Dame" Miles does not. O'Brien (don't hold his last name against him) went to Brown

and certainly can coach, but like John Harbaugh probably will stay in pros.

Unhappy with results or not, I'll pass on Miles.
