Just how is the NCAA going to stop a kid from saying he is going to a specific school and then changing his mind? Until the kid signs the letter of intent, there is nothing that can be done or should be done that will change this.
When the kids commit they should sign. Starting their senior year. Going public about a commitment prior to should be forbidden. All this social media, me me me, we are so far away. And then you say joke? Come on. You think it is ok for a kid to dangle his services in front of a school, coach, then go to the next coach and do the same. Back and forth. Like a used car saleperson. Cut out the social media for starters. Hold a coach and school hostage. Which means a coach now has to have plan B and plan C just in case. Then it's the coach dangling the offer to the second or third choice. That kid gets screwed, Jim Harbaugh anyone.
