To give you an idea of what type of player carries that rating, Sheldon Day was a .9485. They'll also have 70+ career starts.
When healthy Adams has about 1,300 yards and 7.2 a carry. Dexter Williams came in with a .9551 rating.
I'm glad Brian Kelly is doing yoga and hanging out with the guys, but if this team doesn't approach 200 yards a game on the ground they aren't doing it right.
substantial film from his college career. I don't know if they are still relevant to each player. Dayne Crist was probably a .9969
But we know McGlinchey and Nelson can play. Kraemer, who happens to be the highest rated, is the only complete unknown. I think the biggest criticism about Hiestand is he is really good at turning out individual talent, but less so in creating great units. Obviously some of that blends into Kelly and how he has approached the offense and running game, but the depth of talent is pretty undeniable.
Now that Kelly has stepped away from the offense, and Chip Long has a line that he's never had before, there really is no excuse.

Don't want to risk Wimbush any more than necessary, because the guys behind him are not one of this team's strengths.
If he did that, he'd break the ND single season rushing record for a QB. By over 100 yards.
Temple loses their entire front 7 from last year. If ND is still trying to leverage numbers mismatches play after play, instead of running the ball downhill and imposing their will against that team. Then we're screwed and Swarbrick can officially start the search for the next head coach at Notre Dame.
I know nothing about Long, other than he coaches the same system we've been running. If he can't recognize the size advantage ND possesses up front over most of their opponents, than we're no better off than last year, or the year before that, or the year before that.

Chip Long has never had a line like this, and Hiestand has the most talented group on the roster, by far. If he can't get them to gel, that's on him.
Brian Kelly has said it over and over, this is Chip Long's offense. Kelly will bear the responsibility for what happens, as he should, but Long and Hiestand are the keys.
Lots of changes, I am lost.

McGovern, Zaire, Montelus, Justin Brent, Corey Holmes all transferred.
A receiver from Michigan transferred in, Freddy Canteen, he'll be around in the summer. They are hoping to add a defensive tackle, Scott Pagano, from Clemson as well.
