QB. Just my opinion of course, but I just dont see it. I wouldnt take him higher than 3rd round
He's a pretty good QB with the potential to be great. Kelly was right, he could have used another year to clean up his game after he got thrown into being a starter before he was ready. He has just about perfect size, good, but not great mobility and arm talent. He doesn't tuck and run at the first sign of pressure, which fits the pro game very well. His downside in draft season, his confidence, is a plus as is his composure. Downside, his mechanics are inconsistent and he's maybe too composed and could use a higher sense of urgency. Also, his reads are sometimes a little slow. Best case scenario, he goes to a team like Arizona or Pittsburgh that has a good, but aging starter and a lot of talent and then sits for a year or two honing his craft. None of the QB's this year are sure things, but the guys taken in the first are going to be looked at as saviors...and I doubt they'll be up to the task initially, the same as Kizer. If you aren't looking for a day one starter, he's as good a choice as any of the QB's in the draft. Worth a first round pick? No. But he's a solid second to third round guy who could develop into a very good QB in the pros. The best thing that could happen to him in some respects (not money) would be to last until the third or fourth to put a chip on his shoulder and help instill that drive that the best QB's seem to have.
Kiper has Peterman higher and Kaaya lower than Kizer.

But if I had an aging starter for 2017 I would certainly draft Kizer in the 2nd round. I think that's what will happen.
Luke was good.
..that those people were morons and had no clue how to evaluate talent.
3 QBs taken in 1st round, but no Kizer.
Hmmmmnnn........
I recall taking a TON of heat for not drinking the Kizer kool-aide. Of course, now that he's still on the board those same guys "forget" how adamant they were about DK being a top 10 pick, the #1 QB in the draft, etc. And all the hype that was extremely misplaced.
Once the experts tilted their view on Kizer about a month ago, all board gurus shifted and will stand by that they always said "Oh I said he'd be drafted in the first 3 rounds".
the pro level but eventually would be good because he had the basic tools pros like particularly size and enough mobility to make the first man miss or step up in the pocket. He just wasn't consistent enough yet to be a leader for a full season, which is what the QB at the pro level must be.

Which is why you took heat.
Please find the post where someone was adamant he was a top 10 pick and the top QB overall.

And I still think he's a round 4-6 talent and won't make it in the NFL.
Yes this dellusional board was hell bent Kizer was a first rounder
I don't recall anyone saying Kizer was a 100% guaranteed 1st rounder. Late 1st/early 2nd has been the projection from the outset. Some on this board said he should be a 4th or later round pick. Those people will be proven wrong.

Meaning you are still the one that is wrong.
Now we can wait 5 yrs to see if he actually makes it.
I still think he doesn't. Brady Quinn, a much better and more successful college QB, went to less talented Cleveland team and never made it. I'm not buying Kizer is the difference maker.
..Gots ta go!
He would be first round if Kelly didn't sabotage his stock (and I'm not referring to his pre-draft comments, I'm talking about the position he put Kizer in over and over in 2016).

I think if Kizer gets in great shape, he might be a decent QB in the pros. There are not many good QB's in the pros. He has a good chance to get drafted higher with teams reaching for anyone who can throw the ball.
Amazing that not one ND player even being mentioned in the draft. Year 7 of the little Irish Nero and this is where we are. Great job Jenkins and Shitbrick.
I beleive, he has done a good job.
The program is not where we want it, however, Kelly has made great progress.
Over the prior 3-4 years, I believe, ND was near the top of draft success with Bama, Clemson, OSU, etc.
last year, if not for Jaylons injury (we would have had another top 5-10 pick) and Kevaries suspension (he may have gone 2nd round).
Go Irish

What is he basing that on? The one good game Peterman had versus Clemson last year?
