when it is on the players. How do you measure heart, determination and the ability to perform under pressure. Montana had it and Kizer had some of it in 2015 and none of it in 2016. He lost Fuller which really hurt Kizer and either people weren't quite mature enough, or got hurt or had a case of dropsies or the Qb was inconsistent. Geez they pointed that out when Kizer got drafted in the analysis of him.
1. He doesn't prepare the team for games.
2. His play calling in critical situations is brutal.
3. On offense, he relies on a single, long pass dimension.
4. On defense and special teams, , he ignores these facets, assuming his offense 'genius' will score enough to win
5. He is self serving, blaming players for his failure.
6. The quality of assistants is minimal.
7. His NFL job quest after the 2012 season was criminal.
8, Though he does recruit quality players, his lack of development is obvious. In case of quarterbacks, their skills regress.
In regards to bashing of Kizer. as he has minimal credibility. his comments more than likely ignored by NFL coaches and managers.
It appears the recent round of assistant hires was undoubtedly forced upon him by Swarbrick. Hopefully, he will interpret this as an insult and leave after this season.

In his tenure he made a lot of staff changes but too many of them were poor choices. Certainly, the massive changes he made after last year's disaster had better work.
But the new hires give me some optimism. Same with the current state of recruiting. He can get it back on the track.

Great coaches don't go 4-8 at ND or any big time college football program especially after 6+ years ....... He owns that horrendous performance
