Do I believe ND should lose to Temple? No.
Could Kelly? I believe he could...

How much of last year's 4-8, against a weak schedule, is on the coach?
NC State
Stanford
Navy
Duke. All games an average coach would have won with the given talent.
I'm being generous too leaving out MSU and Texas. 2 games ND should have coasted in.
I didn't realize that team was capable of 10-2.....wow. He cleared out the entire coaching staff so we should at least be halfway there right?
You're talking half way between 4-8 and 10-2, right?
Kelly is about an 8-5 coach...so 7-5 and winning the Also-Ran Bowl sounds about right.
Although if you adjust the record for forfeited games...Kelly is 47 - 43 at ND at the moment.
Did so much less with more talent than any year I can recall. Total disappointment. Schedule set up well and I believe it was a disastrous coaching performance, beginning with the QB situation and the BVG fiasco.
Hope this year is the opposite, because my expectations are lower. I, again, see a fair amount of above average talent, but a tougher schedule.

Book it, Danno!
stadium like the Nebraska game in the 90's

But seriously, I have more hope for this year's team than I did against Nebraska, if only because I knew that Arnaz Battle could not pass worth a lick whereas I have hopes that Brandon Wimbush will light it up with our humongous receivers. Or maybe I've had too much cornbread today.

I am content if my alma mater is interesting and not embarrassing to watch. I prefer to see the players as students rather than athletes and I relish it when they achieve off the field and after football. I am saddened to hear of someone transferring to a lesser academic institution merely for a chance to play.
You could enjoy and celebrate most of the time.
THIS University doesn't engender loyalty...

Heck, I figure the price for my tickets will double when we wipe Temple off the face of the earth.
The Wimbush (or is it Adams?) for Heisman can then start and I can cash in. I haven't been able to make any money on my assets since the beginning of the 21st century!
This is the only positive thing that can come from this era's ND football. Everyone needs a few extra $. We are still going to suck.

Not fun and not cheap.
are shitty fans and I piss in their general direction.
I'm sure Lancey does it regularly as he's an NDN felcher.
It's not like the day when ND was good and had real fans.
and I happen to be one of them.
I use to do two or three games a year. Haven't been there now in a couple of years.
Rather go to the man cave or the bar with some of my psycho friends.
opposing fans are idiots, nerds, college professors or a combination of some or all.
why would you waste your hard earned (or stolen) money on this ND product and this ND gameday experience? Everything about ND game days sucks ass these days.

I didn't make the mistake of buying them in the first place

you are a shameful homophobe.

If have more ND genes in my body, and in my family, than you could ever dream of. I've spent over half a million $ putting my kids through ND. including my wife, kids, and I, there are 20+ ND grads in my extended family. And the place has become an embarrassment. If you don't realize that, you're just a plain dumbass, and your continued support of what is ND and ND football today is shameful. I bet you shout down in front when you go to games.
them. It is ok to think the football is not up to standards even though it is way more difficult these days. The idea is to stay loyal and be proud that so many care so much and love the university, despite some hopefully temporary shortcomings, like hiring Ivy league professors and walking out on graduation.
if you believe the shortcomings are temporary.

It would be nice to be in the stadium. But, a sports bar may be a better way to watch the game.

In fact, if Georgia fans put a huge premium on seeing a game in our stadium it is a compliment

recruiting. When our fans are behind us that does make a difference to some recruits.

It's still embarrassing to ND football/fans/alums. Yes I realize the cause and effect nature of the situation. It still makes me shake my head in disgust. If ND football was as healthy as it should be, fans wouldn't be selling their tickets to GA fans. However, ND football is not healthy. It wasn't healthy in 2000 and we saw the see of red for the Nebraska game. Some small part of me wants to believe that ND is going to take the field and dominate while knocking the snot out of GA and create a "Notre Dame moment." The realist in me knows otherwise.

Every ND fan I know bleeds with them. Every person I know who does not root for them, loathes them with a passion. That's the beautiful thing about Notre Dame. You either love them or hate them. There is no "in between."
or so called fans who sold their tickets and are willing to sell them again. I'm not a Vol fan but they are rabid and turn-out 100,000+ for every game regardless of who's playing. ND doesn't have rabid fans like that. We have quiet fans who only yell if ND scores a TD. Several years ago, I attended a ND-TN game at SB and stood up to yell for the Fighting Irish. An older couple sitting behind me asked if I would sit down and not make so much noise because they wanted to watch the game. A small contingent of TN fans drowned out all the ND fans and only the ND band could make a louder noise. ND fans just sat on their hands and watched.
to cheer loudly and help intimidate the opponent. We were very loud against USC in 2013 when we could not move the ball after Rees got hurt and Hendricks came in. We were loud against Michigan and Texas in home games in 2014 and 2015 and we were very loud against USC at home in 2015 but we need to be louder at all times. I saw an old blueblood covering her ears when the music came on and I wished she and her husband had given their tickets to real fans.
Always enjoy games at Rocky Top. Great CFB venue.
